THANKS for visiting my fundraising page for Lazarus House, the homeless shelter where I've had the privilege of working for five years. It's such an honor to witness & hear stories of HOPE from our guests, especially during this difficult time of the pandemic.  During this pandemic, it has been challenging to raise funding for our shelter services. Lazarus House has an Emergency Shelter, Center for Transitional Living, a Food Only Program for those who do not have enough to put food on their table and we provide Homeless Prevention Services through rental and utility assistance programs. Can you please consider helping me raise funds to support these programs?  THANK YOU!

My goal is to walk or bike (no running for me!) each day in August...and pray for Lazarus House during this time.  Good news is that you can be out of breath and still pray!!!

$385 provides shelter and services to a child or adult for one week

$1158 provides a month of Homeless Prevention Services 

It costs $4,457 every day  to keep the shelter open!

Lazarus House is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit Emergency Shelter, Center for Transitional Living, and Homeless Prevention Program serving men, women, and children, from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, and western rural Kane County. They provide hospitality, safe shelter, food, support services and education to help those in need to work their way back to independence. We are working together to offer hope and a future. Our mission is to offer guests connected to our communities who are homeless or in need hope for the future by providing hospitality, food, safe shelter and education — tools for life. We believe that everyone here is a gift from God, and we are here to help those who need assistance.
